There is an open researcher position on robot interactive task learning in the Medical Assistance Systems Group at the Medical School OWL and the Center for Cognitive Interaction Technology (CITEC) at Bielefeld University, Germany.
Research (90 %):
- human-robot interaction (hri) studies and analysis of human demonstrations in learning from demonstration/imitation learning scenarios
- development of simulations and models for imitation learning scenarios in augmented/virtual reality environments
- developing graphical user interfaces for human training input
- developing and evaluating methods for task segmentation for robot learning
Teaching activities (10 %):
- teaching (depending on the final assignment of tasks to the extent of up to 4 LVS) in the field of interactive task learning, including assistance with examinations and supervision of seminar papers and theses
The employment is conducive to scientific qualification. There is the possibility of a doctorate or habilitation.
- completed university studies (Master's degree or equivalent) in the field of computer science, software engineering, intelligent systems or related field
- demonstrated ability to work scientifically (e. g. through Master thesis or publications)
- strong analytical, conceptual and communicative skills
- ability to work in a larger team
- strong programming skills
- experience with Augmented Reality/Virtual Reality Applications
- experience in conceptualizing, conducting and analyzing human-robot interaction studies
- experience in learning algorithms for robot learning (e. g. optimization approaches)
- salary according to Remuneration level 13 TV-L
