The School of Public Health is interdisciplinary, uniting the diverse scientific and methodical approaches of its members and promoting the lively exchange of the disciplines involved. Scientific and thematic content emphasis reflects the specialized expertise of the different faculty departments. A major interest of all faculty members is to further strengthen and expand international cooperation and teaching opportunities across all working groups. The position holder will support the faculty in the already existing courses with international content and accompany the internationalisation efforts of the faculty in all degree programmes in an advisory and coordinating capacity.
Teaching (60 %)
- conceptualisation and implementation of courses with international content in the new Master of Public Health profile “International Perspectives of Public Health” as well as in the planned Master of Global Health programme at probably 10 teaching hours (in principle 16 teaching hours, here a reduction to 10 teaching hours is intended)
Tasks in the area of internationalisation of the Faculty (20 %)
- support and collaboration in the development of international content in the existing Bachelor's and Master's degree programmes
- support in the planning and implementation of the Master of Global Health programme
- advising and supporting students in their development of an international profile in the course of their studies (in cooperation with the Position for Advising)
Research (15 %)
- Independent research with a focus on international topics in the field of public health. The position holder regularly conducts research in the field of international public health and global health, transfers this expertise into the teaching of the faculty and acts as a contact person for academics at the faculty on international issues when submitting applications and acquiring third-party funding.
Self-administration (5 %)
- Active participation in the governing committees of the faculty
