Research Position for the international project „TumorOUT“
In the joint project TumorOUT, an innovative mRNA vaccine against lung cancer is being developed. Together with research partners from Spain, France, Israel and Germany, immunotherapeutic tools based on targeted nanoparticles are being designed. These will be loaded with mRNA + siRNA constructs specifically designed for metabolic modulation of antigen-presenting cells (APC) in non-small cell lung carcinomas. By reconstructing conditions in the tumor microenvironment, effective personalized therapy will be realized. At the Bielefeld site, spatial distributions of metabolites within the tumor microenvironment (TMU) will be investigated using imaging techniques (MALDI-MSI, histology, microscopy, and others). The goal of the project is to elucidate the effects of nanoimmunotherapy on metabolic interactions within the tumor microenvironment and to document the success of the therapy.
- research on imaging of metabolic processes in tumor tissues and cell cultures (70 %)
