- scientific research tasks in the sub-project B7 ‘Chow groups and compactifications of moduli spaces’ (85 %)
- participation in joint research work and discussions regarding sub-project B7 as well as involvement in the organization of events, such as internal project workshops (5 %)
- participation in the overall discussions and research topics of the CRC-TRR (5 %)
- offer support in the planning and organisation of joint SFB events (5 %)
If the TRR 358 or the B7 project is not approved, the following tasks will arise from 1 January 2027:
- scientific research tasks on research projects in the field of algebraic geometry in connection with one or more areas of the Collaborative Research Centre/Transregio ‘Integral Structures in Geometry and Representation Theory’ (SFB/TRR 358) (65 %)
- teaching to the extent of 3 hours per week (25 %)
- contribution to academic self-administration and the general university administration (10 %)
Employment is conducive to scientific qualifiation.
- scientific university degree in mathematics or relevant (diploma, master's degree or equivalent)
- very good englisch language skills (oral and written)
- knowledge and experience in one or more areas of algebraic geometry, Arakelov geometry, tropical geometry
- German skills or readiness and ability to learn it in order to be able to perform tasks in teaching and academic self-administration in German
- independent, dedicated and self-reliant style of work
- cooperative working method and good communications skills
- salary according to Remuneration level 13 TV-L
- befristet (4 years) (§ 2 (1) sentence 1 of the WissZeitVG; in accordance with the provisions of the WissZeitVG and the Agreement on Satisfactory Conditions of Employment, the length of contract may differ in individual cases)
