The Faculty of Mathematics of the University of Bielefeld and the Institute of Mathematical Stochastics of the University of Münster has the following job opening:
We are seeking for a candidate for the position of a postdoctoral researcher starting as soon as possible. The position is funded by the German Research Foundation (DFG) within the program “Random Geometric Systems” for a period of up to 36 months.
Research tasks (100 %):
The successful candidate will join the research activities of the groups of Matthias Erbar in Bielefeld and Martin Huesmann in Münster and contribute to the project "Optimal transport for stationary point processes". This includes research on optimal transport problems in infinitedimensional spaces, stochastic point processes and functional inequalities. The candidate is expected to spend about 1/2 of the time in either of both research groups.
Employment is conducive to scientific qualification.
- salary according to Remuneration level 13 TV-L
