• independent research in international politics, particularly in the history and sociology of world politics; conceptualizing and developing individual and collective research projects (65 %)
• teaching in political science (4 teaching hours per semester) and supervision of students (25 %)
• participation in the organization of study programmes and in academic governance  (10 %)

• salary according to Remuneration level 13 TV-L or salary grade A13 LBesG NRW
• befristet (mit Verlängerungsoption) for 3 years (§ 2 (1) sentence 2 of the WissZeitVG or § 44 VII Hochschulgesetz NRW for civil servants; in accordance with the provisions of the WissZeitVG and the Agreement on Satisfactory Conditions of Employment, the length of contract may differ in individual cases
