The Fachsprachenzentrum (Language Centre) was founded in 2009 as a central service facility for language teaching at Bielefeld University. The English Department offers English lessons at all levels, including specialised language courses for all students and staff at the university.
- teaching duties (60 %):
- organisation of own courses to the extent of 6 LVS in the English language area
- development of different course concepts and the corresponding planning and realisation of the courses
- supervision and counselling of students
- teaching-related tasks (20 %):
- concept development in the area of UNIcert and Development and realisation of UNIcert examinations
- academic continuing education (15 %)
- general administrative tasks (5 %)
